Jerry Garcia on lead guitar; John Kahn on bass playing soul-infused R&B with Merl Saunders at the Golden Bear nightclub on the Pacific Coast Hwy in Huntington Beach, CA. The tiny club with seats close to the stage was a photographer's dream.
