Rare photographs documenting Jerry Garcia's musical explorations beyond the Grateful Dead. These images capture the Jerry Garcia Band (JGB) and Legion of Mary performing in intimate LA-area clubs. Featured musicians: Jerry Garcia (electric guitar / vocals), Merl Saunders (organ / vocals), John Kahn (bass), Ron Tutt (drums), Martin Fierro (sax / flute). Legion of Mary existed less than a year, making this photographic documentation exceptionally scarce-- offering unique historical value for Garcia collectors.
